- CALISTO-235
- Calisto -235 is a
tool brought into being with the intention of bringing
together skills and experiences which are usually
compartmentalized into isolated spaces for geographical
or institutional reasons, making them difficult to meet
up.
-
- Calisto -235 is a
place to lay foundations, bring together, create,
energize.
-
- The choice of an associative
structure relates to the basic principals which reign
over its way of operating: interdisciplinarity,
juxtaposition, creativity. A structure which is supple,
open, always in movement, favouring variety, the
associations aim is to bring life to highly
intellectual, creative or cultural projects.

- THE AIMS OIF THE
ASSOCIATION
-
- More exactly, Calisto -235 means
to be a meeting point, for exchange, for diffusion in
intellectual, artistic and cultural domains.
- This centre for research,
creation and diffusion aims to develop its activities
around three poles:
- - A pole for the valorization
of research consecrated to the history of 19th
century theatre and the entire cultural field of this era.
To that purpose, the centre can organize days of study,
seminars or conferences ;
- - A pole of assistance
for creation in every kind of artistic domain,
linked or not to the area of research ;
- - A space of diffusion
towards a large public, favouring outings,
visits, cultural events and happenings around the
different fields of activity, of research and creation.
- The missions of Calisto -235 are
relayed by actions of information, documentation and
edition.
-
- THE PROJECTS
-
- The projects are built on a
framework comprising: Research, Creation and
Diffusion
-

justifies the founding of the association and represents
a long term objective. At the moment simple project are

century
- - A directory of useful web-sites
(BNF, French Archives nationals, etc.);
- - Awarding a grant for
research, allowed through surplus proceeds and private
sponsoring, in a plan of aid for following a university
curriculum.
-
- Creation
- - A regular calendar of
cultural events (exhibitions, concerts, shows, etc.)
produced or supported by the association must come to
sustain this domain ;
- - In the same way as the
Research pole, the pole of Creation will award a grant
towards creation.
-
- Diffusion
- - Diffusion is part of the
regular activities of the association, comprising a
programme of lectures around the cultural history of the
19th century. The lectures take place in situ or at the
seat of the association and are programmed several times
in the course of the month in able to be accessible to a
large public;
- - A Young Public Cycle
allows young listeners to be introduced to an open minded
and active cultural attitude.
-
- Two projects are common to
the three poles:
